Ms. Betty Jane Jarmon

In Loving Memory of Betty “Jane” Jarmon Jane Jarmon, a devoted Christian, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023, at the age of 89. Jane was born in Guntersville on October 9, 1933, to Benjamin and Flossie Gray. She is preceded in death by her siblings James Robert Gray, Jake Thomas Gray, Lou Fennell, Buddy Gray, and survived by her sister Barbara Belk. Jane graduated from Marshall County High School and married, Leamon Jarmon in 1951. They were married for 57 years at the time of his passing. Jane was a devoted Army wife and after being stationed in several locations across the United States, Jane and Leamon came back home to settle in Guntersville. They were both active members of First Baptist Church. Jane enjoyed Sunday mornings with her Sunday School class and ending church services with her favorite hymn, “Victory in Jesus.” Jane's warm smile and loving spirit will be deeply missed by her children, Don Jarmon (Debbie) and Debbi Thrasher (Phillip). She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will be carried on by her grandchildren, Chris, Shane, Sherry, and Chasity, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Ellie, Beckham, Natalie, and Zoe. Her nurturing nature and selflessness made her the anchor of her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jane particularly loved the art of crocheting. With nimble fingers and a creative eye, she produced countless beautiful pieces, from delicate blankets and intricate doilies to vibrant scarves. In addition to her love for crocheting, Jane found solace and joy in solving word searches and cross word puzzles. The family would like to express their gratitude to the special caregivers, friends, and extended family members who supported Jane throughout her life. Their love and compassion provided comfort during her final days. She has now entered her eternal home, where she will rest in the loving arms of her Creator. Her life serves as a reminder to us all to live with compassion, to love unconditionally, and to walk in faith. A funeral service to celebrate Jane Jarmon's life was held on June 27, 2023, at First Baptist Church Guntersville. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
